It has been a busy few weeks at the Vaughan household!

Last weekend Ryan, Sophie and I went to New York to visit with my grandma and aunt.  It was a very special time as Sophie had never met Grammy.  The last time we were able to make it out to New York was before she was born.  Grammy gave Sophie the cutest little doll, who Sophie has named Barbara.  Barbara has quickly become a favorite.  It was also great to see my Mom and Jessica who were also up visiting in New York.

Sophie is doing great!  In two weeks she has changed so much.  Never mind semi pro status at standing up, she is definitely a pro now.  To the point where she has to be standing or is not happy.  She is also not happy when her little legs get tired of standing and she is scared to get down.  This makes for an interesting bed time routine.

Sophie has also learned how to crawl up the stairs.  In two seconds flat she can be up four or five stairs.  It was kind of cute to see her little head from behind the banister, but quickly Ryan and I were up and running to get her off the steps.  Ryan and our neighbor have been constructing a baby gate mounting system which has proven to be quite the project.  I have to hand it to them, there has been no duct tape or emergency room visits, but zip ties and several trips to Lowes have already occurred.  

Sophie is also talking up a storm and loving her music class.   The first session is almost over and we are going to enroll Sophie in the next session.  We really like the Music Together philosophy and Sophie is getting a lot out of the classes.  The class has about 10 kids in it from 0-4 years old and they have such a great time playing their instruments, singing, dancing and moving around.  It is amazing to see how much the little ones have picked up in a few weeks.  Sophie even got to be an example student at a demo class that the teacher held.  

We can not wait for warm weather here.  We had a taste of warm weather last week and this week it has been in the 20's.  March leaving like a lamb soon!
