So many things were going on over the past couple of months and honestly updating the blog was one of the last things on our mind. But, now living so far away from so many of our family and friends I really want to make it easier for everyone to see what we are up to and how much Sophie is changing.
Well the move is complete. Ryan took a job as an engineer with Composite Engineering Inc. in Roseville, CA so we made a cross country move in July. The boxes are now unpacked, and the dust settled and Sunny Cali is becoming home. We love the weather, love the fresh produce, and having a great time seeing all that California has to offer.
The cross country move was amazing. Ryan worked the trip so we were able to visit 6 new states, see Mt. Rushmore and watch Old Faithful erupt. Marcus and Sophie camped out in the back seat and did great. I do think after 6 days on the road, we all were a little thankful to arrive in Rocklin and eat a home cooked meal!
Sophie has changed by leaps and bounds. She is now an expert walker and loves to run after Marcus, goldfish, or her crayons. She has turned into such a little girl, and even has enough hair to put into pigtails! She is in to playing Guitar Hero with Ryan, watching the Hokies play football, and reading books. She started her Music Together class two weeks ago, and we have all been enjoying the new songs and making some new friends.
We have been enjoying visits from Aunt Jessica and Baba and can not wait to see Aunt Larissa and Uncle Cole next month. So, if you are in the Northern California region we would love to see you!
