Back from Sunny St. Thomas!

Well we are back from St. Thomas!

We landed on Friday after a day of traveling. When we left Detroit in the morning it was -11 degrees. When we landed it was 82! Nice! We checked into the Marriott Frenchmans Reef. We had a great hotel room with a fabulous view of the Caribbean Sea. For dinner we went to this really neat restaurant called W!kked. It is located in Yacht Haven Grand and was simply amazing. I had salmon and Ryan had snapper. Sophie just had Earths Best peas, but she enjoyed them.

Saturday started out with breakfast at my Mom and Dad's house. They have a wonderful condo overlooking Magans Bay (Atlantic Side). Breakfast was great and we had a chance to meet Matt's family and relax. The girls spent the afternoon getting mani and pedi's and the boys hung out by the pool. Dinner was hosted by Matt's family at the Banana Tree Grill. Ryan and I both ordered the Mahi-Mahi, but the winner for the evening was the Key Lime Pie. It was to die for!

Sunday, Ryan and Sophie went on a scenic island tour with Grandma, Aunt Anne, Ed, and Mr. Jerry. Sophie loved it and even made friends with a cat at the botanical gardens. We all met for pictures in the late afternoon and had a sunset cruise with Jessica and Matt's wedding. They looked so handsome, Jessica in her wedding dress and Matt in his dress whites. Perfectly handsome couple! The captain dropped anchor off Honeymoon Beach on Water Island and they had a beautiful ceremony and were pronounced husband and wife just a few min before sunset.

After we made it back to shore, we had dinner at Havana Blue. I believe it was the best fillet I have ever had in my life. Ryan had the sea bass which was equally divine. We had such a great time catching up with Stephanie, Eric and Fred and getting to know Matt's brother Joe.

Monday, Sophie and I hung out at the pool in the morning with my Mom. In the afternoon we went over to Havensight, a neat shopping area and did all the local things there. My mom suggested that we go to the Butterfly Farm. We had the best time there. The butterflies were very active and it was incredible to see them flying all about. After an afternoon of shopping, Ryan, Sophie and my Dad went Jeeping and my mom and I stayed at home and talked sewing! The evening brought dinner with Mr. Jerry and really good pizza.

Tuesday we had to pack up to leave, but not before a great time at the pool. My Mom and Dad met us at the pool in the morning and we had a quick swim before we packed up. We spent a few hours walking downtown and then sadly headed to the airport for our flight home. After a pretty long flight in which Sophie did excellent we made it back home at 1:30 in the evening!

Back to the daily grind now, but at least the temperature rose her to close to 30!
