You might be wondering why Ryan and I named this blog "M-Cat and The Frito". Well it is in honor of our daughter Sophie and kitty Marcus Aurelius.
Marcus Aurelius came to live with us as a brand new kitten in 2006, and quickly stole our hearts. His true full name is Marcus Aurelius: Kittius Maximus, Felis Domesticus, Purrius Oftenus, Winterus Whiteus (and Ryan would add) Spoiledus Rottenus Vaughan. But for short we often call him M-Cat or just plain Marcus.
Sophie our human daughter was born in May and once again our hearts were stolen. She is our little "Frito" baby. The first time we gave Sophie a bath, we used one of those baby bath towels that when folded properly, make the baby look like a burrito baby. Ryan said, "She is a Sophie Burrito: A Sofrito!" The name stuck and has gotten shortened to "Frito" Baby or simply "my little corn chip."
